Hello there, and I hope you are all having a great holiday season so far. Today’s festive post is especially for those who equally love both the holidays and all things Marvel. In fact, the Marvel Universe has been ingrained into everyday pop culture that many people wonder what our favorite heroes would be like during this time of year. That spanned into specialized comics (did you know Santa in the Marvel comics is a mutant?!), toys, shows, specials, and a couple of MCU films (Iron Man 3 and Spider-man: No Way Home). As a special Christmas gift to the Marvel fans, I have compiled of list of Marvel heroes who would have the best holiday spirit. This is according to the recent Disney Plus shows, comics, and recent sighting at a famous theme park. Hopefully we get to spend the holidays more with Marvel especially in the MCU because it is such a great concept!

1. Spider-man
There is no other Marvel hero who has more holiday spirit than the web-slinging hero himself. I mean Spider-man lives in New York, which is one of the best places to spend the holiday season. Plus, he will be able to stop any criminals that want to ruin Christmas because no one wants that at all, especially Peter Parker himself. He even has his own Christmas album, according to Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse. Speaking of which, a holiday party full of Spider-man variants would sound awesome considering their differing personalities. There are also many Spider-man comics that revolve around the holiday season, so this would be a great gift idea (or last minute since this post is hopefully getting published close to Christmas) for that die-hard Spiderman fan. Don’t be shocked if you see this friendly neighborhood hero swinging by Rockefeller Center during the holidays!

2. Kate Bishop and Hawkeye
Most recently, Kate Bishop and Hawkeye both have history with each other during the holidays according to the MCU Disney Plus show, Hawkeye. In fact, that is when they first met each other. Clint Barton happened to be spending the holidays with his kids after losing them during the Blip. However, those plans derail for Clint after trouble arises involving the tracksuit mafia and Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin. That is when he runs into Kate Bishop who aspires to be like him. He mentors her for a bit, and in return Kate shows Clint some holiday spirit after not being able to spend that time with his family. Because of the holiday motivation, both Kate Bishop and Hawkeye take down Kingpin, and Christmas is saved in New York. Fortunately, Clint is able to go back to his family for the remainder of the holidays, and invites Kate (since her mother was arrested for working under Fisk). Hawkeye may not be one of the best MCU Disney Plus shows in my opinion, but the chemistry between Kate and Clint along with the festive atmosphere in New York make this a great show to watch during the holiday season.

3. The Avengers
The holidays are all about spending time with family and in the Marvel Universe, the Avengers are basically family to each other. Despite their differences in abilities and skill, the Avengers always find a way to come together to defeat any battle. After that is over, they all spend time hanging out with each other having a great time. Therefore, it would be a great concept for the Avengers to spend the holidays with each other. An example of this did play out during What-If season 2 where Justin Hammer broke into Avengers Tower, and Happy Hogan became a Hulk version of himself. This does not count, but there is Yule Log of Avengers Tower from What-If that you can view on Marvel’s Youtube page. Even though that particular episode took place in an alternate universe, I hope to see the Avengers spend the holidays in the main 616-MCU. It could work as a special presentation, but if not, then maybe a new comic that takes inspiration from that episode.

4. The Guardians of the Galaxy
Just like the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy are a family of some sorts. After coming together from traumatic pasts, and defending the galaxy, the holidays are a great way for the Guardians to have some joy. It was all thanks to Peter Quill for introducing this Earth holiday to the rest of the members. That inspired Drax and Mantis to take a trip to Earth to bring some Christmas spirit (and Kevin Bacon) as a way to cheer up Quill after losing Gamora to Thanos’ sacrifice for an Infinity Stone. This heartfelt gesture led to the Guardians sharing a wholesome moment with each other. Mantis also gave Peter the ultimate gift revealing that she is his half-sister. The Guardians of the Galaxy are one of the best characters of the MCU due to the strong bond they share. Therefore, the holiday spirit fits perfectly with this unique group of heroes!

5. Deadpool
Adding this Marvel hero because he was not only introduced to the MCU this year, but I believe he would have great holiday spirit, in an unusual way. Deadpool would add his own kind of humor the holiday season with the use of fourth-wall breaking. He would also be the life of any party you invite him to (just make sure there are no kids when Deadpool is around). There isn’t much history of Deadpool and Christmas in the Marvel comics. However, there was a holiday special but it was just a PG-13 version of the second Deadpool movie. But this year, Deadpool was brought back to Avengers Campus at Disneyland for a special holiday show. It would be great for Deadpool to have his own holiday special on Disney Plus considering how Deadpool and Wolverine was a box office success (I think I heard something about this somewhere, but it hasn’t been confirmed if a holiday special is in the works). Also let’s add Wolverine to the holiday fun because I would love to see these two interact during this time of year.
Those are my 5 Marvel characters that I think have great holiday spirit. The holidays are more fun with anything Marvel-related. I especially love seeing a Christmas tree with Marvel-themed decorations. To all the Marvel fans out there, I hope you get that comic book, Funko pop, or Marvel merch you wanted for Christmas. Also don’t forget to watch one of the few Marvel holiday specials (including the upcoming final season of Marvel’s What-If. And to everyone else, have a safe and happy holiday season!
